For novice and experienced drone enthusiasts. Campers attack and defend against Super Heroes and Villains. Begin the week learning basic maneuvers before using your “Spidey-Sense” to conquer missions such as: Daredevil in Distress; Batman’s Drone Mobile Escape, The Breakout of Iron Man and more. Campers will storyboard their own escape missions while friends attempt to outmaneuver using the drone to locate and capture. As an engineer you will learn physical science concepts and use them as you design, construct, test and analyze results. Then, you will reconstruct, retest and reanalyze results to determine whether design modifications were effective. If you love playing video games, this is the camp for you! Make your first video game in this one-of-a-kind camp that shows you the keys to designing your first 2D platformer game. Conceptualization, play experience, level design, graphics, sounds, and simple coding are just some of the concepts that we’ll explore. No prior experience necessary, just a desire to have fun. Its pure action as campers enjoy one of the world’s fastest growing sports, Drone Racing. First, llearn about the basic safety of drone flying and the history behind drone racing as a sport. From there, campers will progress through skill challenges and learn how to perform exercises and maneuvers to become familiar with drone speed and agility. Flight squads post up against one another in friendly competition racing themselves and the clock. Maneuver through creative obstacle courses before taking on the challenge of flying for speed. Campers create the design and help build the obstacle course in preparation for the last day’s final activities and competition.

Virtual Reality: The Future is Now
Embark on an EPIC adventure in virtual reality! In this cutting edge camp, you will learn the foundations of VR design by creating your own virtual worlds, exploring simulated environments, and crafting memorable 3D experiences. At the end of the week, take home your first cardboard VR headset to show friends and family the new worlds you created. VR projects can be viewed on a website or a mobile device. Campers do not need a mobile device to take the class, but to use the VR headset a camper will need access to an Android or Apple mobile device. Stacked, overlap and stagger are a few of the techniques used by LEGO designers to create original minifig scale models. Further your skills using basic 2x2 and 2x4 bricks and take a hands-on history lesson building pyramids, castles, suspension bridges, the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building, and the famous Ferris Wheel, just to name a few. Continue to the next level of creating using technic pieces that allow movement using gears, pins, axles and motors. Explore what gears do and get to the bottom of the “gear ratio” and how friction and non-friction influence movement. Campers will present an
original design on Friday.
