War & Battle Tactics
Join us as we examine famous battles and wars in history. Explore the weapons and technology used as well as the tactics employed by commanders to win each battles from Ancient Rome to WWII and Vietnam. By registering you are giving permission to view PG-13 rated film clips that may include battlefield violence. We may also attempt our own nerf battles using the tactics we are exploring.

Paranormal Investigators Wanted!
Are you a fan of ghost hunting shows on TV? Fascinated by this intriguing subject? This is your chance for hands-on experience using such equipment as EMF and K-2 Meters, the SB-7 Radio, static detectors and laser grids. Explore the methods and technology used by ghost hunters in the field. Discuss the Salem Witch Trials, Amityville and Roswell. Examine audiovisual evidence as well as the history and background behind famous legends and lore. Camp concludes with field trip to the historic (and haunted) Strauss Mansion Museum in Atlantic Highlands. Note: this camp deals with theories and assessments of unexplained phenomena that may not be suitable for some children.

Politics and Debate Camp
Calling all young debaters and politicians! Join us as we examine social and political theories, laws, and governments around the world and their impact on societies. Current “hot topics” and world events will guide us through the week of discussion and debate. Examine pivotal moments in history. No two camps are alike! Be prepared for an intense week of debating and critical thinking. Debate teams are welcome to bring their own material to sharpen their skills with the help of the instructor.

True Crimes: Famous Murders
Did Lizzie Borden take an ax and give her parents 40 whacks? How did a murder spree in Long Island turn into one of the world’s most famous horror stories? Why did Leopold and Loeb think they could commit the perfect murder? Who was H.H. Holmes? We will answer these questions and more in our week-long investigation into the world’s most notorious murder cases. Use your investigatory skills to analyze crime scene photos, evidence, witness interviews, and the psychology of the perpetrators. Political assassinations may also be discussed. The camp will end with a mock trial of one of the cases discussed during the week. Note: this camp will contain elements and images which some may find disturbing.

Day in Court
Play the roles of judge, defendant, plaintiff, witness, lawyer, bailiff or juror in several mock trials. Learn how to make opening and closing statements, how to phrase objections and how to question witnesses. Pull all your skills together at the end of the week as you participate in a final mock trial based on actual events. Family and friends invited to watch!
