If you love playing video games, this is the camp for you! Make your first video game in this one-of-a-kind class that shows you the keys to designing your first 2D platformer game. Drone search and rescue is a necessity for first responders around the world, adding a new layer of solutions to save lives across the globe. Now campers to can take part in and learn from simulated missions during this action-packed, creative, and educational program. Participants will learn to fly drones and rely on their rescue team to collect vital data in specific “rescue areas” to locate “victims” and safely rescue them. Drone Racing & Obstacle Course Challenge
Enjoy one of the world’s fastest growing sports, Drone Racing. Campers will first learn about the basic safety of drone flying and the history behind drone racing as a sport. Campers will then progress through skill challenges and learn how to perform exercises and maneuvers to become familiar with the drone’s speed and agility. Flight squads post up against one another in friendly competition when they race themselves and the clock. Students first maneuver the drone through creative obstacle courses before taking on the challenge of flying for speed. Participants contribute fully in this program as they create the design and help build the obstacle course to prepare for the last day’s activities and competition. Campers go home with interactive workbooks so the memories last long beyond the summer. Drone safety and social responsibilities of flying are included in this program.

Secret Agent Lab- A Mad Science Camp
Look out 007! From decoding messages to experimenting with metal detectors and night vision, campers have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and step into the shoes of a detective! We’ll uncover the science involved in gathering and analyzing evidence and the technology behind locks, surveillance systems and alarms. To test the limits of magnified observation, junior science sleuths will build their own binoculars and develop ways to work together to refine their observation skills. Campers will use what they have learned as they find, collect, and analyze evidence and connect the dots to solve a simulated crime scene!

NASA & Mad Science: Future Space Explorers
Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for exploration! We’ll take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets, moons, and other space phenomena in our solar system. Campers will investigate the mechanics of unique flying machines, such as balloon-copters, boomerangs, and mini hovercrafts. We’ll learn how early “pilots” navigated throughout space as we create our own sextant and sundial. Explore the challenges of living in space as we assemble a satellite while training to be an astronaut. We will build our own Mad Science rocket, and participate in a real “NASA” style rocket launch. Mad Science is the only organization licensed by NASA to use these activities for Summer Camps.
